Lighten our darkness, we ask you, O Lord, and by your great mercy defend us from all perils and dangers of this night. For the wounds I have given and the wounds I have received, I ask your pardon and your healing. Into your hands I commit those I love, and the things I cannot finish. Grant me sleep as a gift, and if I wake, let me find you there. Amen.
