God of the living, you are the Lord who heals. I bring you this body, this mind, this person I love. You know the pain better than I can describe it. If it be your will, restore. If the cup is not taken away, be near in it. Give wise helpers, honest rest, and a hope that is not brittle. In the name of Jesus, who bore our griefs. Amen.
