Father of lights, thank you for this day I did not make. Before I take up work, worry, or words, I receive it from your hand. Order my steps in your Word. Keep my tongue from harm and my heart from hardness. Let me see the people in front of me as you see them, and do the next faithful thing without hurry. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
