God leads more often by a lamp to the feet than by a floodlight on the next ten years. Wisdom, Scripture, and the people of God are how most of us hear.
Reflection
James says if you lack wisdom, ask. He does not say if you lack a five-year plan. Guidance is usually moral clarity plus courage, not a secret map.
